Mother Hubbard

In Vanuatu the women wear a certain style of dress called the 'Mother Hubbard' or 'Aelan Dres'. They are throw back to the Missionaries who wanted the natives covered up. I love wearing these dresses when I'm in Vanuatu. The Ni-Van women love seeing me wear them but my hotel owner Tony says "You look like a tourist, Ona'"! I don't care because that's what I am and if I lived there I wouldn't want to wear anything else as they are so cool and comfortable. I had to buy myself this one at Tropicool as the fabric was so nice. Apparently these were used as the uniform for the recent Pacific Games held in New Caledonia.
